Celebrating Her Majesty's 90th
St Thomas' Church and the Village Hall have come together to arrange a double celebration of the birthday of Queen Elizabeth II. This is a once in a lifetime event, not likely to be repeated soon, if ever.
On Saturday there will be a Garden Party in the grounds of the village hall (no, the Queen will not be there), from 3pm until 5pm.
The main attraction is an Oompah Band, who will be playing for most of the afternoon. There will be a special tea available, including a glass of bubbly, sandwiches and cakes. The usual bar will be open.
Everthing will have a Royal theme - games, competitions and quiz. See the poster on the home page.
To enter any competition just bring your entry with you on Saturday.
On Sunday we continue our party at St Thomas' Church at 4.30 with a special service to celebrate her life. This will include Children's activities and conclude with tea for everyone.
Children's Art competition
Pupils from Hanwood School have each entered a work of art on a royal theme. They will be on display on Saturday and the best will also be shown on Sunday, with final judging taking place.
