Happy Birthday KJV !

400 years of the King James Version

2nd May 2011 is the 400th anniversary of the publishing of the Authorised Version of the Bible. It was authorised by King James I, giving it the alternative name 'King James version'  or KJV for short. For the history of how this happened and many interesting facts about the KJV please follow the links below.

St Thomas' celebrations took place during Holy Week, with the whole Bible read out loud by members of the congregation. A report of the event will appear soon.
